Team profile

Argentina

Argentina have enjoyed some respectable performances in recent editions of the FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship, with their bronze medal performance in 2009 – their best result so far. They have played in six of the seven editions, where they finished sixth in 2013, fifth in 2011 and fourth in 2005 and 2007.

Coach

Luis Testa

Luis Testa

Luis Testa has a vast experience in Argentine volleyball, not only as coach of the grassroots national teams but also as coach of Mendoza de Regatas. In 2007, he served as assistant coach to Juan Manuel Cichello in the men’s junior team that finished fifth in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Junior World Championship in Morocco. He also worked with coach Julio Gimenez in the youth team before becoming its head coach in 2014. In the FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship in Argentina, Testa will lead the Argentine squad that finished sixth in the last edition in 2013.
