Team profile

Bulgaria

The Bulgarian boy’s U19 national team participated in two FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championships – the first one was a ninth place finish in Algeria in 2005 and the second was a sixth place finish in Argentina. These results corresponded with their good ranking in the European Championship, where they finished in sixth place in 2005 and fourth place in 2011. In the last four European Championships, the Bulgarian team has been a consistent participant in the finals.

Ivanov Dragan

Dragan Ivanov is one of the best coaches in youth volleyball in Bulgaria. His club team Victoria Plovdiv won numerous national championships in the youth and junior divisions. Ivanov’s technique has been proven effective as the players trained under him successfully transitioned in the senior team of Victoria Volleyball in the Bulgarian men’s premier league.
