Egypt

Egypt have firmly established themselves as the leading African team, having competed in seven editions since 1993. Their best result was in 2001 where they finished fourth, while the team finished in 12th place in their most recent participations in 2011 and 2013.

Emadeldin Nawar

Emad Eldin Nawar have guided the Egyptian boy’s team in the FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship in 2007. Although Egypt landed in 16th place on that year, Nawar’s guidance of the young Egyptian players facilitated to form a strong foundation for the current senior team. Nawar developed Mamdouh Abdelrehim into a formidable middle blocker, who became one of the key players of Egypt that won the FIVB Volleyball World League Group 3 final this year. After skipping three editions of the U19 World Championship, Nawar will be back at the helm of the Egyptian bench.
