Brazil was too much for Chile in a non-equivalent continental clash

Corrientes, Argentina, August, 19, 2015 – Brazil crushed Chile in the South American duel of Round of 16 in straight sets (25-16, 25-16, 25-17). The Brazilians wait now in Quarterfinals for the winner between Cuba and Argentina.

Chile tried to keep Brazilians pace, but Kaio and Martins de Pinho, both with 11 points, were too much for Ivan Villarreal’s boys. Sebastian Diaz, the youngest among the Chileans, was the top scorer of the match with 12 conquests.

Brazil now has to wait for the winner of the match between Cuba and Argentina. Should the locals win, we will have another continental duel in Quarterfinals, to be held in Resistencia. Chile, on the other side, will stay in Corrientes to play for the 9th to 16th position in the general ranking.
