Cruz helped Mexico concrete a major comeback in American clash against Chile

Corrientes, Argentina, August, 22, 2015 – Mexico completed a huge comeback after being 0-2 and 22-23 against Chile (23-25, 16-25, 25-23, 25-14, 15-12) with a sensational 27-point production by Bruno Cruz Ibarra in one of the 13th-16th classification match.

Mexico used its block to overcome Chile after a very bad start. Ivan Villarreal’s team seem to have everything under control  with good performances by Sebastian Diaz (17) and Matias Ruiz Vidal (12) but the Mexican fighting spirit prevailed against a surprised Chilean team, that started to make mistakes and lower the head from the third set onwards.

Bruno Cruz Ibarra shined with 27 points (21 spikes and 6 blocks) leading the Mexican comeback; helped with Briseño’s 11 and a fine setting play by Christian Aranda.
