Both USA and Belgium delivered a world-level class of love for volleyball
Resistencia, Argentina, August 15, 2015 - In a tremendous contest that made people from Resistencia go absolutely crazy, USA and Belgium fought with heart and soul for five sets, until the American side won 3-2 (25-20, 17-25, 25-18, 21-25, 19-17) for their second Pool A victory.
Having a higher error rate, USA covered that issue with both Torey DeFalco and Jordan Ewert, who unfolded an identical total of 22 points apiece. Micah Ma’a joined the cause with 13 points, including a tournament-high of 7 service aces.
The Belgian side relied on their never-ending spirit, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide in the tie-breaker. On the scoring sheet, captain Simon Peeters led the way with 19 tallies, as the only one in his team with double digits.
USA are now 2-0 on Pool A, leading the way with four points. Belgium has only one of their own, but it was just their first game in Argentina.
