Italy subdue Mexico with Cominetti at the helm

Italian happiness after their second win in Argentina

Resistencia, Argentina, August 15, 2015 - Two out of two for Italy at FIVB Boys’ U19 World Championship in Argentina. The Azzurri extended their momentum with a well-earned 3-1 (25-17, 21-25, 25-19, 25-18) victory over a battling side of Mexico, and now they top Pool B with perfect numbers.

Italy’s Roberto Cominetti finished with 16 points for his side, many of them scored to break the opponent in the fourth set. Gianluca Galassi added 15 tallies and second setter Riccardo Sbertoli also proved to be vital for the result.

Mexico now fell to 1-1, despite another good output of Ridel Garay and Bruno Cruz, who respectively smashed 19 and 18 points. Captain Garay again served fantastically, this time with 4 aces.

Both teams will play again on Sunday - Mexico will look forward to bounce back against China, while Italians are scheduled to take on Egypt.
