The United States Boys' U19 team also got hold of the FIVB's Twitter mirror at the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Finals Omaha 2015
Lausanne, Switzerland, August 4, 2015 – Some of the world’s brightest young stars will be travelling to Argentina for the FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship from August 14 to 23. Among them will be the United States, who recently took in some of the action at the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Finals Omaha 2015.
For most, it will be their first experience competing on a global stage but preparations are going well.
“It’s going pretty good,” said Casey McGarry “We just finished up a tournament which we played really well in. It’s really good for all of us and we’re getting a lot better for it.”
And taking in the action in Omaha, where the hosts sealed a sixth World Grand Prix crown, certainly gave them a small taste of what they might expect in Argentina.
“It’s awesome,” added Collin Mahan. “I haven’t seen a lot of women’s volleyball so it’s a bit different for me.”
USA will face Turkey, Belgium, France and the hosts in Pool A of the FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship.
