"We are here for a medal" confessed Polish Jakub Ziobrowski

Corrientes, Argentina, August, 14, 2015 – Polish power was too much for Bulgaria, that nevertheless showed a neat performance. Dragan and Ivaylo Ivanov agreed that Poland was superior and that they can do better next time.

Sebastian Pawlik, Poland Head Coach: “We are really glad, it was our first game and it’s important to start the competition with a victory. I know this team, I know my players, and the first match is always difficult for us, we never play well; It will be better day after day. We can do it much better”.

Jakub Ziobrowski, Poland: “This match was very hard. In the second set we lost the concentration but in the rest of the time we could develop our volleyball. We came here for a medal; that is our goal. We didn’t expect this cold in Argentina, but we can get use to it and start feeling more comfortable.

Dragan Ivanov, Bulgaria Head Coach: “I’m happy with the performance of my players, I think our level was good. We still haven’t seen the other teams so I can’t tell where are we standing, but we will do our best to succeed and make a nice tournament.”

Ivaylo Ivanov, Bulgaria: “Poland is a great team; we gave the best we had, but I think we can do it even better. For us, the World Championship starts tomorrow. Our goal is to take a medal to Bulgaria”
