"We can't wait to face Poland again" expresses Iranian coach Reza Vakili Farjad

Corrientes, Argentina, August, 18, 2015 – Iran improved their winning streak with a triumph over Bulgaria in four sets. The Asians lost only to Poland in their first match, and now they “can’t wait to face them again” as Head Coach Reza Vakili Farjad said.

Reza Vakili Farjad, Iran Head Coach: “The real Bulgaria was shown in the third set. Our strength pushed them in the first two; in the fourth we compensate our errors and took a fair victory. The balance in the first round is not so important to us, we wanted to make it to the next round, wether we ended first or second. Now, we can’t wait to meet Poland again!”.

Javad Karimisouchelmaei, Iran: “We made a few mistakes when we shouldn’t have; we already thought that the game was over. They used that opportunity to grow and took that set but luckily we obtained the victory. We wanted to be first in Pool C but it wasn’t possible, so know we have to wait to know who we will face in the next round. We realized that our weakness is our reception, so we will work hard to improve it”.

Dragan Ivanov, Bulgaria Head Coach: “This tournament has a really big level. For our team, tomorrow is the big day, we need to do our best to beat no matter who. We have played good volleyball in these first matches, but we can do it better!”.

Aleks Grozdanov, Bulgaria: “I’m not happy with my team’s performance today. We were not at their level, they hit us really bad with the service and we made lots of mistakes. We now need to show the best we can to stay in the winning draw!”.
