“We didn’t take our chances” expressed Slovak coach from Germany Matus Kalny

Corrientes, Argentina, August, 14, 2015 – Germany couldn’t maintain the lead and was defeated by Brazil in a high-level match that exceeded the 2.30 hours of gameplay.

Percy Oncken, Brazil Head Coach: “We made an awful amount of mistakes that made the work of the Germans a lot easier. If we start to make fewer errors, I think we can play a lot better. We won because we kept our lucidity in the 4th and 5th set. We obtained two very important points”

Kaio Ribeiro, Brazil: “We have some difficulties at the beginning of the match, but we managed to adjust our flaws and kept the victory. We weren’t intimidated by the high-blocking-line of the Germans; we can jump too!”

Matus Kalny, Germany Coach: “We didn’t take our chances in the 2nd set and 5th set and lost after being up in the scoreboard. It’s a pity because before the match we would have been happy if we knew we were going to win 1 point, but after we obviously wanted to win!”

Stefan Thiel, Germany Captain: “It was a good match for us, I am proud of what me and my teammates did. I think we will play better tomorrow. After the first phase we will see where we are to decide if we can go for a medal”
