Corrientes, Argentina, August, 19, 2015 – Puerto Rico had a 2-0 lead but Chinese Taipei rose to win in 5 sets, leaving the Boricuas still with no victories in this World Championship. The Asians showed an incorruptible defense system and a great blocking power, besides the high speed combination game that they usually have.
Chia-Yung Lee, Chinese Taipei Head Coach: “I’m very happy with my players’ attitude; they never stopped fighting. We were confident but in the first moments we were deconcentrated. After, we started playing well in defense and finally took an important victory”
Lu-Wei Lin, Chinese Taipei Captain: “Our intention is not to lose anymore; we can win every match we have left. If we play good in defense and keep our strong attitude, we will do it with no problems”
Julio Ruvira, Puerto Rico Head Coach: “We had a lot of errors that left us with another defeat. Now we have one day to rest and start preparing our next opponent; we still have two chances to win”
Oscar Fiorentino Paez, Puerto Rico: “We still don’t have the capacity to close the games in our favor; we lack a lot of concentration. We need to have the will to win, it seemed that we didn’t want to”
