"We preferred to face Italy" admits Iranian Mirbabak Mousavigargari

Corrientes, Argentina, August, 19, 2015 – Auste’s absence conditioned Germany against Iran. Even so, the victory was clear for the Asians that will now face Italy in the Quarterfinals.

Reza Vakili Farjad, Iran Head Coach: “Play-offs games is the best we can hope; I’m happy with my team’s performance. Mojarad and Javad will surely replace Mousavi and Marouf in the Iranian first team in the future, they have a terrific potential; my job is to develop them. We now have to face Italy; we know them well, I’m sure we can beat them”

Mirbabak Mousavigargari , Iran: “We previously analyzed Germany’s performance. We had all planned and knew all their weaknesses, we were truly prepared. We expected Auste to be in the field; his absence complicated us! We preferred to face Italy than France, we have already played against them and we are more familiar with their game”.

Matus Kelny, Germany Head Coach: “It’s difficult to play without our best scorer (Auste), who had some problems in his stomach and was not at the 100% of his possibilities. We tried our best but Iran was very superior. There is no other explanation for this game.”

Moritz Rauber, Germany: “We missed Auste a lot, especially in the important points. We lost points that we shouldn’t have; we need to play stronger mentally and tactically; now we have to focus on France”
