Overview

Team profile

Poland's U19 National Team is built on players and students of the Polish Volleyball Federation's Sports School 'School of Mastery in Sports' based in Spala. Players, who are pursuing their education and honing their volleyball skills within its walls make up for the majority of coach Sebastian Pawlik's team. Spala also serves as the main site for the training camps of Poland senior National Team –the reigning World Champions.

Poland's U19 team won the European Championship this past April -and did so in grand style. The team presented smooth teamwork and proved well-prepared, both physically and technically. The young Poles confirmed their class by winning the Yuri Chesnokov Memorial in Anapa and and gave a flawless performance at the 13th European Youth Olympic Festival in Tbilisi, right before the World Championship in Argentina.

Poland are making their tenth appearance in 14 editions of the U19 World Championships. Their best achievement was the bronze medal they won in the latest competition, in 2013 in Tijuana.
