Host City: Corrientes
Situated on the banks of the Paraná River, Corrientes is the capital city of the province of the same name.
Corrientes is one of Argentina’s mostly northern cities with a population of 328,689.
The architecture of the city shows different styles with buildings that integrate the smooth shapes of colonial Baroque style with current dynamic buildings that provide the area with an atmosphere of constant renewal in its streets and parks full of chivatoes, ceiboes, jacarandaes and orange trees.
Venue: Regatas
Regatas is a multi-event complex which is home to numerous sports clubs based in Corrientes.
With a capacity of up to 7,000, the venue is home to the Regatas Corrientes basketball team and regularly hosts volleyball events in the hall.
This will be the first time it has welcomed an FIVB event. However, the city itself is no stranger to volleyball having hosted an FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour 2013 Grand Slam.
