Chinese Taipei end on a high as they reduce Egypt after four sets

Resistencia, Argentina, August 22, 2015 - On the farewell of both teams to Argentina, Chinese Taipei defeated Egypt 3-1 (19-25, 25-17, 26-24, 25-23) and achieved their second win at Boys’ U19 World Championship, finishing at the 18th place of the tournament.

Middle-blocker Lin Yi-Huei reached the best numbers of the game with 17 points, succeeding on 14 out of 18 offensive attempts and completing with three blocks. Substitute player Chou Chien-Hung entered on the first chapter and never left from then, rounding up a total of 13 points.

Although Egypt had some great moment at the net with 16 stuff blocks, they failed to control Chinese Taipei’s counterattacks and had no other weapon to make amends. Omar Mohamed headed the African side with 12 tallies, one more than teammate Marwan Badawi.

While Chinese Taipei earned two wins during this final part of the competition, Egypt remained winless all along and they even failed to score a single point in Argentina, falling into the lowest spot of the final ranking.
