Andrey Nozdrin, Russia Head Coach: “It’s a good experience for me and my players. We need to be less aggressive in order to lower the number of mistakes we make. We need to play emotionally”

Dmitry Yakovlev, Russia: “We are becoming a very very strong team, but our best version will be seen in these World Championship play-offs. We are getting to know each other better every time; we would really like to be the champions”.

Julio Ruvira, Puerto Rico Head Coach: “We need to see the positive things after this defeat. We have some players that will conform the next breed of players and today showed a good level against a world giant as Russia. We also missed Luis (Ocasio) a lot, but is no excuse. In the last moments we sensed that Russia was a little tired, it’s a pitty we couldn’t take advantage of that. We depend on other results, but we still dream”

Pelegrin Vargas, Puerto Rico Captain: “We had a pretty inconsistent match; we need to be more effective individualy to mark the difference as a team. We need to keep playing smart, Brazil won’t be easy to beat. We always want to represent Puerto Rico with dignity, giving the best we have in every ball”.
