Iran coach Reza Vakili: "These games are warm-up for us"

Corrientes, Argentina, August, 16, 2015 – Iran harassed Chile in 3 sets to accommodate in Pool D Standings. Reza Vakili minimized their victory over the Southamericans and put some pressure on his players facing the competition play-offs.

Reza Vakili, Iran Head Coach: “I don’t think Chile came here to lose, they did whatever they could! We forced them to lose. These games are warm-up for us, they help us to get ready for the play-offs, that is what we are here to win!”

Esfandiar Amirhossein, Iran: “We are getting ready to show what we really are. Against Poland we couldn’t show what we can do, but today we print how great our team is. We are focused in reaching as high as we can in the final standings, always looking to be the best”

Ivan Villarreal, Chile Head Coach: “Since the first moment they put us in trouble with their service. They are a tall, neat and powerful team, with a lot of concentration. We still need to show a better level against rivals of this kind. I hope Iran can make a great World Championship”.

Esteban Villarreal, Chile Captain: “They succeeded in neutralizing us with their service, and we couldn’t do it well in reception. In the end of the third set we played as equals, but they were stronger and finally took the victory”
