USA thrash Mexico with a marvelous Kyle Ensing

 

Resistencia, Argentina, August 19, 2015 - Enjoying 21 points from opposite Kyle Ensing, USA overwhelmed Mexico 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-22) and progressed to quarterfinals stage in Resistencia. The American winning streak now extends to five victories.

Ensing shone on all aspects of the game, completing 15 spikes, two blocks and four aces. In that last department, USA destroyed Mexico by a 13-3 margin, using also 6 direct points from setter Micah Ma’a.

Mexico relied on star player and captain Ridel Garay Nava, but he was controlled by the outstanding overall game from the USA. Nonetheless, Garay scored 15 times, as the only other player of the game in double figures.

USA moved forward for the part of the draw that also has Russia and Bulgaria, as the winner of that duel will be the measure in quarterfinals. Mexico will take on the losing side.
