Corrientes, Argentina, August, 21, 2015 – Turkey got over a difficult passage of strong Japanese defense to win in 4 sets against the Asians.
Hiroshi Honda, Japan Head Coach: “We showed a great attitude from the third set on, but it wasn’t enough; we didn’t believe that we could win. We couldn’t take our chances against a very strong team. I’m happy with my players’ performance despite the defeat”
Tomohiro Horie, Japan: “We had a lot of chances to take the lead and win the game, but we wasted them. I’m happy with the team spirit, we never stopped fighting, but Turkey was the fair winner.”
Salih Tavaci, Turkey Head Coach: “We had different tactics, we were really prepared to beat them; in the third set they changed their system and defended a lot, complicating our game but my players were smart and could return to the path and plan we had made. Now we have to face a familiar team, no matter is France or Germany, we played lots of times against both of them and we know how to defeat them.”
