"We made the mistakes in the wrong moment" confessed young Abaev

Corrientes, Argentina, August, 15, 2015 – Unforced errors defined a match that seemed to have tie-break destination. Brazil prevail in 4 sets and stay in the top of Pool D of the World Championship.

Konstantin Abaev, Russian Captain: “We showed that we still have a lot of work to do. We couldn’t win a set that was in our favor and we made mistakes at the wrong time. The ambience in the stadium was excellent I love all the people here in Corrientes!”

Andrey Nozdrin, Russia Head Coach: “It was a nervous match for my players. We made many mistakes in various aspects of the game. We can do it better, especially in the blocking phase. We have a very long road to walk if we want to win this tournament”

Percy Oncken, Brazil Head Coach: “The players obeyed perfectly the tactical concepts that we planned before the match. Russia was close to force the tie break, but they made the mistakes just in the worst moment and when that happens, the other team automatically feel the thrill and start playing better”

Daniel Martins De Pinho: “We were focused in the victory at all times. Russia is a wonderful team, and we could impose our style and beat them. Our squad had very high points, but we made the difference with the defense and the counter attacks. We are up to big things”
